Shipman Youth Center of Lake Placid

To provide a safe place for young people to mature in a stable environment while providing both direct and indirect guidance for youthful activities.

The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association exists to introduce, instruct and promote sustained participation in sports to the youth in Lake Placid and surrounding communities. They include (to date) soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, baseball & softball.

Lake Placid Ski Club

The Lake Placid Ski Club is a not-for-profit organization which provides programs that teach children how to ski. These programs take in the beginners through the Olympic skiers. The Club has programs in Alpine Racing, Alpine Recreational Skiing & Snowboarding, Biathlon, Cross Country Racing, Cross Country Recreational, Freestyle, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping.
